We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Specialist to join our esteemed private practice, Berwick Cardiology & Vein Institute, LLC, located in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This full-time onsite position offers the unique opportunity to provide comprehensive pain management care in a concierge medicine environment, focusing on personalized treatment that enhances the quality of life for our patients experiencing chronic pain.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based onsite, offering a mix of in-office consultations and surgical center responsibilities. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with three days spent in the clinic and two days in the surgical center. Team members may also be required to participate in occasional weekend shifts, rotating with fellow staff, to manage emergency cases as they arise. Our practice promotes a collaborative and supportive atmosphere where medical professionals work together to achieve optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients to identify the underlying causes and extent of their pain.
• Creating individualized treatment plans that incorporate a range of pain management modalities, from medication management to interventional procedures.
• Administering diverse pain management techniques including, but not limited to, joint injections, nerve blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and epidurals.
• Performing advanced interventions such as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) injections and stem cell therapies, while also utilizing EMGs/NCVs for diagnostic purposes.
• Overseeing patient care alongside a team of providers, including mid-level practitioners (PAs and NPs), ensuring comprehensive follow-up and physical rehabilitation.
• Documenting patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary based on clinical outcomes.
• Educating patients on pain management strategies and self-care techniques that empower them to participate in their own recovery.
• Staying updated with the latest research in pain management and incorporating evidence-based practices into your approach.
• Maintaining compliant and accurate medical records in accordance with legal and clinical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population consists of individuals suffering from chronic conditions such as lower back pain, knee pain, and osteoarthritis. Our approach emphasizes understanding each patient's unique health history and pain experiences, allowing us to provide highly personalized care that addresses both immediate symptoms and long-term management strategies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board certification in Pain Management or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in New Jersey, alongside a DEA number.
• A clean malpractice history and strong commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Preferred Experience

Preferred background includes:

• A proven track record of diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Significant experience with various pain management techniques and interventional procedures.
• Excellent communication skills while effectively conveying complex medical information to patients and families.
• Stronger organizational skills and detail orientation, crucial for maintaining high standards of care and documentation.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting, collaborating with physical therapists, psychologists, and other healthcare providers.

Compensation and Benefits
