We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Urgent Care Physician to join the Countryside Urgent Care team in Brookhaven, New York. Work Environment

As an onsite urgent care provider within a hospital setting, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced medical technology and offers a friendly, collaborative atmosphere conducive to patient-centered care. The work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients by reviewing medical histories, allergies, medications, and immunization status.
• Engage in meaningful conversations with patients to understand their symptoms and concerns, performing detailed physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to accurately diagnose health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for chronic and acute medical issues, ensuring comprehensive patient care.
• Regularly follow up with patients, especially in high-risk cases, and monitor their progress on treatment regimens and diagnostic results.
• Prescribe medications and evaluate their effectiveness in improving patient health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management strategies.
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings, contributing insights and suggestions to enhance overall practice efficiency and patient care.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service by delivering patient-centric care and fostering a welcoming environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will cater to a wide array of patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups, including children, adults, and the elderly. You will engage with individuals experiencing acute illnesses, minor injuries, and other urgent medical situations. Recognizing the unique social and economic factors influencing our patients' health will be a vital part of your role in advocating for their well-being and facilitating adequate healthcare access.

Qualifications

• A valid DEA license is required for this position.
• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical institution.
• A current state license to practice medicine.
• At least two years of experience as a physician in a clinic, emergency room, or urgent care setting.
• Strong expertise in primary care and acute care practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, promoting effective patient interactions.
• A commitment to ethical practices and patient-centered care.
• A collaborative spirit and positive attitude, essential for teamwork.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure medical situations.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous but not required.

Preferred Experience

• ACLS and ATLS certifications are preferred, enhancing your capability to manage emergencies.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate patient documentation and workflows.

Compensation and Benefits
