Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, ensuring ongoing monitoring of patient responses and adaptation of treatment regimens when necessary.
• Engage in ongoing therapeutic interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans addressing psychological, biological, and social nuances of each patient's condition.
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to evaluate patient progress and refine treatment strategies as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Psychiatry department serves a diverse patient population ranging from children to adults, addressing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and psychotic disorders. Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical institution.
• Board certification in Psychiatry and valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in Virginia.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a diverse array of psychiatric disorders.
• Possess strong knowledge in psychopharmacology with an ability to effectively manage patient medication regimens.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
