Work Environment

This position will be primarily onsite at our well-equipped hospital facility in Arvada. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and apply appropriate diagnostic and treatment protocols to address urgent medical conditions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed history taking and physical examinations to inform clinical decisions.
• Manage daily tasks, such as communicating with patients regarding lab results and follow-up care instructions.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving cost-effectiveness and the overall quality of care delivered to our patient population.
• Serve as a consultant for other physicians to discuss patient referrals, particularly those requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
• Ensure compliance with insurance documentation requirements and promptly address any claims denials through appeals.
• Participate in outpatient consultations, including fulfilling on-call responsibilities as needed.
• Guide and lead a team of medical assistants and support staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient operational environment.
• Consult with supervising physicians regarding complex cases and adapt care protocols based on evolving patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will serve a diverse patient population ranging from young children to elderly individuals who present with a variety of urgent medical needs. Your role is critical in ensuring timely and effective treatment to mitigate health issues and enhance overall wellness. By utilizing your medical expertise, you will contribute significantly to positive patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required.
• Possession of a valid medical license to practice in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum two years of experience in an emergency room, urgent care, or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• A commitment to uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings.
• Current DEA license.
• Willingness to work in multiple clinic locations as necessary, including occasional holidays.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and actively contribute to improving operational workflows.
• Experience in medical coding and insurance processes is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable, although not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
