Work Environment

You will be working in an outpatient office setting with a collaborative and innovative team culture that emphasizes continuous learning and professional growth. The role requires a commitment of approximately 40-45 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility to adapt to patient needs, including occasional on-call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough nephrology evaluations and patient assessments, including the collection of comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and analyze laboratory test results, imaging studies, and kidney biopsies to accurately diagnose and monitor kidney diseases.
• Develop personalized treatment plans, which may include pharmacological management, dietary modifications, and other therapeutic interventions catered to individual patient needs.
• Monitor and manage the progression of chronic kidney disease, providing timely interventions to prevent further health decline.
• Collaborate effectively with primary care providers, surgeons, and other specialists to ensure streamlined communication and comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on renal health, treatment options, and lifestyle changes that promote kidney wellness.
• Involve yourself in ongoing clinical research, quality improvement projects, and participation in clinical trials to contribute to nephrology advancements.
• Ensure meticulous documentation and maintenance of patient medical records, conforming to all health compliance standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be responsible for caring for a diverse patient population, including individuals with varying stages of chronic kidney disease, those undergoing dialysis, and patients needing post-transplant follow-up care. Your expertise in managing and delivering care to patients with intricate needs is crucial. Your role will not only involve individual patient care but also educating families and caregivers, ensuring they are equipped to support the treatment plan.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology by a recognized professional organization.
• Active state medical license to practice in Texas, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in the diagnosis and treatment of common and complex kidney disorders, particularly chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and glomerular diseases.
• Experience and comfort in managing dialysis patients and involvement in renal transplant evaluations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with healthcare teams and provide empathetic patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
