Why does the job exist?
This position will provide laboratory test for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease in an Acute and Long Term Care Facility well following all steps involved with accurate testing according to accepted laboratory standards.

Performing laboratory test for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease.
Who are the customers?
The staff, patients, and the community.
Ideal Candidate
Experience in laboratory in hospital setting.
Minimum Qualification
Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry or Biology and MLT, ASCP, or AMT certification or equivalent per CLIA standards and one (1) year of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of the classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field above certification requirements and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must successfully pass a background check.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a hospital setting, long hours of standing, walking, bending must be able to lift/ move a minimum of 50lbs, may be required to work evenings, weekends, holiday and shift work.
