Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

LMHC Job Description:

Miami Behavioral Health Center is hiring for full time and part time Licensed Mental Health Counselors including LMHCs, LCSWs, LMFTs and Psychologists.

*CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A FLORIDA STATE LICENSE AND LCSW OR LMHC. 

Provides therapeutic services as needed.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Functions:

• Maintains a high level of knowledge of clinical and documentation standards as required by each applicable funding source
• Prepares and reviews each program supervised for national accreditation
• Provides clinical supervision for all clinical staff or those staff in roles of therapeutic contact with participants
• Assures that peer review occurs and that results are used to improve the quality of care in each program
• Plans and develops curriculum and participant treatment schedules
• Conducts weekly clinical meetings to discuss goals and objectives of the Agency, provides consultation, and to problem solve as needed
• Assures that each staff member receives adequate instruction to perform clinical work and documentation successfully
• Develops ongoing training schedules within programs for training that is specific to roles required of individual staff members. (e.g. Training related to subspecialty diagnoses
• Develops skills related to crisis management for each level of staff
• Monitors the requirements of clinical records for each provider of service
• Provides therapeutic services as required Provides on call services to ensure needs of program are met
• Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency policy rules, regulations and procedures; participates in on-going in-service training and external training as required
• Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Types: Full Time

Pay: $70,000-$80,000

Schedule:

• M to F 9-5 pm

• Miami, FL 33126: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

• Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LMFT or LMHC License
