Seeking a Compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to Join Our Psychiatrist MD Practice

Our practice focuses on supporting individuals with various eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder. By utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), you will assist clients in developing healthier relationships with food, body image, and self-esteem.

Work Schedule:
Regular business hours, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM-4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' eating disorder symptoms, co-occurring mental health conditions, and treatment needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with clients to set achievable goals for recovery.
- Provide evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
- Facilitate therapy sessions to address clients' distorted beliefs about body image, food, and self-worth.
- Assist clients in developing healthy coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and strategies to resist disordered eating behaviors.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate care, ensure continuity of treatment, and address clients' holistic needs.
- Offer psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance understanding of eating disorders and promote a supportive recovery environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clients' progress, treatment plans, and therapy sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge in eating disorder treatment.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapies for eating disorders, such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.
- Strong understanding of the complex nature of eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
Pay and Benefits:
- $80,000-$104,000 per year based on experience and specialization.
