Work Environment

This role is fully remote, leveraging technology to deliver care to students through telehealth services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, incorporating their personal histories and current challenges to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique situation, collaborating with them to set achievable goals and therapeutic objectives.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy, adapting to various mental health concerns faced by students.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting emotional regulation, personal development, and healthy coping strategies.
• Coordinate with a dedicated team of mental health professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to student care.
• Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, utilizing effective de-escalation techniques and ensuring timely referrals are made when necessary.
• Empower students and their families by offering psychoeducation regarding mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of assessments, treatment progress, and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development through team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Stay current with the latest developments in mental health legislation and ethical guidelines relevant to school-based practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on the mental health needs of students ranging from elementary to high school. Our diverse student body presents a variety of challenges, from academic stress and behavioral issues to trauma-related experiences. You will be instrumental in identifying these issues and providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and personally.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of New Hampshire.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health or educational environment.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Experience in conducting effective mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing suitable treatment plans.
• Ability to deliver individual and group therapy effectively, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in crisis intervention, with a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication skills, capable of building trust and rapport with students and their families.
• Sound judgment and ethical practices in professional settings, ensuring confidentiality and respect for all clients.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in school-based mental health services or telehealth environments.

Compensation and Benefits
