Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setting, allowing you to conduct sessions from the comfort of your own home. You will have the freedom to create your schedule, with options for full-time (over 30 hours per week) or part-time (over 5 hours per week) commitments, making it possible to balance personal and professional responsibilities. All sessions will be conducted using a secure and user-friendly telehealth platform, ensuring that our clients receive the utmost in privacy and care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide empathetic and ethical mental health counseling to clients via video chat, establishing a supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship.
• Conduct thorough initial assessments and facilitate ongoing evaluations to ensure clients are receiving the appropriate level of care and support.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique goals and mental health needs, adjusting plans as necessary based on client progress.
• Teach clients effective coping skills, problem-solving strategies, and communication techniques that empower them in both their personal and professional lives.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals within the organization to ensure holistic and comprehensive client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is centered around serving low-acuity adults who are facing manageable mental health challenges. This population typically includes individuals dealing with anxiety, mild depression, life transitions, and stress management. Your role will focus on fostering resilience and equipping clients with the tools necessary for self-help and ongoing personal growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Current state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD is mandatory, with the ability to practice independently without supervision.
• No history of disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients in a virtual environment, along with proficiency in using telehealth and counseling software.
• Must have a reliable and stable internet connection for video conferencing.

Preferred Experience

• While a Master’s degree or higher is preferred for more seasoned candidates, motivated professionals with a Bachelor’s degree who exhibit exceptional communication and counseling skills are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in outpatient settings and proficiency with electronic health record systems are advantageous.
