Position Overview

Empower Minds Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team in a remote capacity. In this full-time role, you will support individuals facing various emotional and mental health challenges, helping them to lead fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs, including pre-crisis and crisis management strategies.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that meets all regulatory standards and internal benchmarks, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools as guided by clinical protocols, to optimize treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans geared toward improving patient outcomes.
• Actively engage in the clinic's licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring that all services meet high-quality standards.
• Serve as a liaison and advocate for clients, connecting them with necessary local and state services, agency support, and community resources.
• Facilitate open communication with community partners, ensuring alignment with our mission and facilitating program transparency.
• Build and nurture relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to promote clinic programs, discover new partnerships, and secure funding.
• Pursue opportunities for personal and professional development by participating in training, attending conferences, and representing the agency at various professional gatherings.
• Embrace and promote the agency's mission, values, and principles within your work and interaction with clients and team members.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support overall clinic objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population, including individuals grappling with emotional distress, substance use disorders, and individuals with developmental and acquired brain conditions. Our approach prioritizes individualized care that supports recovery and fosters a sense of agency and community involvement.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required to apply for this position.
• Applicants must hold an independent LMHC license, recognizing their professional qualifications and ability to provide unsupervised mental health services.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum qualification is essential, we prefer candidates who have experience working in community health settings, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency in delivering modern therapeutic interventions. Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans using evidence-based practices is highly valued.
