Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their emotional and psychological needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client, incorporating their unique backgrounds and circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, and other modalities, to treat various mental health conditions.
• Engage in collaborative care with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and enhance service delivery.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, ensuring they are informed about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, upholding the highest legal and ethical standards in practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role is particularly focused on serving older adults who are grappling with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, cognitive disorders, and other geriatric psychiatric conditions. As a mental health therapist, you will be instrumental in helping this vulnerable population navigate the complexities of mental health care, ensuring they receive the support they deserve.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, demonstrating proficiency in delivering mental health therapy.
• Strong understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Proficient in delivering therapeutic services either individually or through family-focused approaches tailored to older adults.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a patient-centered, empathetic approach to client care.

Preferred Experience
