This full-time role offers flexible remote work settings, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions primarily via telehealth platforms. The typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient needs. Here, you will collaborate closely with an interprofessional team dedicated to creating a holistic approach in mental health care.
Conduct thorough mental health assessments to inform individualized treatment plans, ensuring sensitivity to cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions uniquely tailored for each patient, drawing from your expertise and the latest research in mental health.
Provide various therapy modalities including individual, family, and group therapy to address specific mental health challenges and foster resilience.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals—such as psychiatrists and psychologists—maintaining a seamless approach to patient care through case management and coordination of services.
Respond effectively during crises by providing immediate mental health support and interventions when urgent care is necessary.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment pathways while connecting them with community resources for additional support.
Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal standards and ethical guidelines using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous training sessions focused on cultural competency and best practices in mental health therapy.

A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
A current and valid license to practice as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Virginia.
Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and effective, evidence-based treatment approaches.
Proven experience in delivering culturally responsive therapy for individuals and groups.
Strong skills in crisis intervention and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building rapport with diverse populations.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) platforms and navigating various computer applications related to therapy and documentation.
A commitment to uphold professional ethics, boundaries, and patient confidentiality.
An ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team working toward unified goals in mental health care.
A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling role preferred, with specific focus on culturally competent practices.
Experience in telehealth delivery of mental health services is considered a significant asset.
