Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Soul Restore, you will have a diverse and fulfilling role that encompasses:

• Providing trauma-informed counseling services to individuals, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges.
• Incorporating Christian counseling principles in therapeutic sessions for clients who seek a faith-based approach, ensuring their spiritual needs are respected and integrated into their healing journey.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans tailored to client goals, fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
• Delivering counseling services to clients referred from local churches and community organizations, reinforcing our commitment to community engagement.
• Actively participating in community outreach initiatives to build your caseload and establish new referral sources, positioning our center as a trusted local resource.
• Collaborating with various professionals, including social workers and clinical counselors, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
• Maintaining accurate client records and timely progress notes in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with privacy standards.
• Communicating openly with the center director regarding your case load, scheduling, and professional development needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and age groups. You will play a critical role in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, helping clients navigate their mental health challenges in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you will need:

• A Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field.
• Active independent licensure as a LPC, LMFT, or LCSW in Washington, with the ability to operate as a licensed practitioner mainly in the District of Columbia.
• Strong knowledge of the Bible and experience with Biblical counseling techniques, which will assist in providing a faith-based therapeutic experience.
• Training in EMDR or a willingness to complete EMDR basic training within the first three months of employment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and colleagues alike.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling, reinforcing a supportive and safe space for client discourse.
• The ability to uphold confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines necessary in the mental health profession.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience in trauma counseling is required, candidates with additional experience in dual licensure (VA or MD) or other therapeutic modalities will be highly regarded. A deep understanding of a variety of therapeutic interventions is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
