Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorder symptoms, including assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of their conditions.
• Collaborate with clients to create and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families on understanding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by coordinating care with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
• Stay updated on current research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic approaches and outcomes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and opportunities for professional development to enhance clinical skills.
• Advocate for the mental health needs of clients, addressing stigma and promoting awareness within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will involve working with clients suffering from mood disorders, including those experiencing significant challenges such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Special populations may include individuals facing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will be crucial in facilitating therapeutic relationships that encourage healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• Active and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage both workload and administrative responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range between USD 70,000 and 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
