In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized mental health care to individuals impacted by trauma. Work Environment

This position is fully remote, leveraging telehealth technology to connect with patients in the comfort of their own homes. We believe that accessing mental health services should be as convenient and supportive as possible. As you work from home, you will engage with patients through video sessions, providing them with the tools and support needed for their recovery journey while maintaining a flexible schedule that can accommodate their needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and determine tailored treatment approaches.
• Collaborate with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on trauma recovery, personal goals, and resilience-building strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.
• Offer both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients through the process of healing and equipping them with effective coping mechanisms.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention support during traumatic events, ensuring that patients feel safe and supported.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping strategies, helping them to better understand their conditions and available resources.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record systems effectively.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those facing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in helping these patients process their experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. By employing trauma-informed practices, you will ensure that each patient feels safe, validated, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations and provide empathetic support to patients.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with telehealth platforms.
• Strong teamwork skills, capable of collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

Experience in crisis intervention and a background in trauma-informed care are highly desirable. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices, particularly related to trauma, will enhance your ability to serve our diverse patient population effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
