Life Edge Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated Trauma-Informed Mental Health Therapist, holding current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R, to join our passionate team. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to deliver services via telehealth platforms from the comfort of your own environment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to explore patients' trauma histories and identify suitable intervention strategies.
• Develop customized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique needs, focusing on healing and resilience-building.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to guide effective treatment outcomes.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for patients to process their trauma and learn healthy coping strategies.
• Prioritize collaboration with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to deliver cohesive care tailored to each patient’s journey.
• Provide crisis intervention services, ensuring immediate support for patients facing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and effective community resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation in adherence with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance therapeutic practices and professional growth.
• Stay informed on the latest research developments and best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a key member of our therapeutic team, you will work directly with survivors of trauma, including individuals grappling with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This role allows you to make profound impacts in the lives of patients as they navigate their recovery journeys, instilling hope and resilience while enabling them to regain control over their narratives.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and a proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, especially in trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress scenarios.
• Successful experience in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Compensation and Benefits
