Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions via telehealth while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct trauma-informed mental health assessments to comprehensively evaluate a patient’s trauma history and formulate individualized treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement detailed and personalized treatment plans aimed at aiding trauma recovery, promoting resilience and wellness.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective therapy sessions.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and fellow therapists to ensure that each patient receives integrated and comprehensive care.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, employing safe and effective de-escalation techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and the resources available within our care continuum.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and comprehensive documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to support continuity of care.
• Engage proactively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops centered on trauma-informed practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge base.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on working with diverse populations affected by trauma, including individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing the unique emotional and psychological needs of each patient, fostering a supportive environment for healing.

Qualifications

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to maintain a compassionate and non-judgmental approach while interacting with clients and their families.
• Calm Demeanor: Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations, providing steady support to patients in crisis.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly in trauma-focused therapy and interventions, is strongly preferred. Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also advantageous, facilitating effective patient management and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, our benefits package includes:
