Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and evaluations to clearly outline mental health needs, establishing comprehensive treatment plans to guide therapeutic interventions.
• Delivering evidenced-based therapy to individuals, groups, and families, which may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or solution-focused brief therapy, tailored to the unique needs of your clients.
• Working collaboratively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that all treatment plans are coordinated and aligned, thereby optimizing the client care experience.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress, employing effective de-escalation techniques and ensuring safety during emergencies.
• Participating in community outreach efforts and educational initiatives that foster mental health awareness, positively impacting local populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse range of clients, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. This role emphasizes cultural competence and the ability to establish trust and rapport, as you navigate the distinct challenges faced by each client.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Current and valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or hold a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to build therapeutic relationships.
• Demonstrated cultural competence, enabling effective work with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to maintain accurate documentation while ensuring timely report writing.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, candidates with experience in community mental health settings, trauma-informed care models, or crisis intervention will be highly valued. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient management systems is also beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits
