Vita Wellness and Counseling LLC is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team as we provide vital support to patients recovering from substance use disorders. This full-time position will allow you to make meaningful contributions to individuals and their families, guiding them through the complexities of addiction recovery in a compassionate and structured environment.

Work Environment

Even though this position allows flexibility via a remote work model, our therapist will stay closely integrated with the clinical team, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure coordinated patient care. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the needs, challenges, and goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic strategies, adjusting them as necessary based on patient progress.
• Deliver one-on-one counseling utilizing proven methodologies such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to promote positive behavioral change.
• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that encourage peer support and foster a sense of community among participants.
• Work in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other health care professionals, to provide well-rounded care to patients.
• Provide crisis intervention and necessary support in cases of substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective responses to client needs.
• Educate both patients and their families on addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to empower them in the recovery process.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings, case discussions, and continuing education forums to remain abreast of the latest research and best practices in substance use disorder treatment.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through active participation in community outreach and awareness initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This includes a broad spectrum of patients, from those in acute recovery to those seeking ongoing support. Our therapists play an essential role in not only aiding individuals in finding coping mechanisms but also in bolstering their families' understanding of addiction-related challenges.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• In-depth understanding of substance use disorders, contemporary evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices.
• Proven experience in providing both individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment is highly desirable.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a demonstrated empathetic and non-judgmental approach to patient interaction.
• Displays a strong commitment to maintaining professional and ethical standards, including patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.
• A track record of effectively participating in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in community health settings or outpatient mental health treatment.
• Knowledge of local resources and community support systems related to addiction recovery.
• Demonstrated success in engaging with diverse populations through culturally competent practices.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is between USD 115,000 and 130,000, with potential bonuses and a sign-on bonus available to qualified candidates. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, which includes:
