Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth clinical assessments utilizing evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
• Implement a diverse range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress and help them build coping strategies.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records in alignment with HIPAA regulations, ensuring the integrity and security of client information.
• Engage in regular collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated client care.
• Participate in case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss client progress and treatment effectiveness, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their treatment.
• Stay informed about the latest research and clinical practices in the mental health field to ensure the delivery of effective, up-to-date care for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Lifespan, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including those facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health disorders. Your expertise will help clients from various backgrounds to achieve stability and promote recovery in an inclusive and understanding environment.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in the state of New York.
• Proven experience with solution-focused psychotherapy interventions, allowing you to effectively cater treatment plans to meet individual client needs.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients, thereby enhancing engagement and outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities to navigate complex client scenarios and implement effective treatment strategies.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in telehealth or remote counseling would be advantageous, providing familiarity with virtual communication platforms and engagement techniques.
