Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their unique challenges and needs.
• Create and implement crisis intervention strategies, including pre-crisis plans and behavioral guidelines tailored to each client’s situation.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation that meets state and federal regulatory standards, including risk assessments and medication treatment plans.
• Utilize evidence-based screening tools as part of the clinical team’s ongoing evaluation and support processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute positive behavior support plans that encourage client stability and growth.
• Engage actively in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the center’s reputation for excellence in mental health care.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners, facilitating resource access and support.
• Foster strong communication channels with community partners to promote agency programs and secure potential funding sources.
• Participate in professional development activities such as conferences and workshops to enhance your skills and represent the agency within the mental health community.
• Embrace and promote the agency’s mission, values, and principles in all interactions.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall functioning of the counseling center.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Path Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse population, including individuals experiencing emotional distress, those recovering from substance abuse, and clients facing developmental and cognitive challenges. Each client presents a unique set of needs that our counselors are equipped to address, employing customized therapeutic interventions that encourage recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• An independent LMHC license is required.
