Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW/LMHC/LMFT) - Telehealth Opportunity

Position Overview

The Modern Healthcare Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health therapist to join our team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic services to a diverse patient population, utilizing telehealth technology to deliver effective care from anywhere in the state of New York.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing for a flexible work setup that is not only convenient for you but also importantly meets our patients where they are. You will typically work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 6 PM, with some flexibility needed to address the scheduling needs of your patients. Our telehealth platform is designed to facilitate seamless interactions, including individual, family, and group therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique experiences, which inform the development of personalized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions adapted to individual needs, ensuring that each patient feels understood and respected.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing an array of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues.
• Collaborate closely with other professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care that optimally serves our patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and available treatments, empowering them with coping strategies and community resources.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in ongoing case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training to enhance service delivery and professional growth.
• Stay current on research, best practices, and emerging cultural considerations related to mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, primarily focusing on individuals from various ethnic and cultural minorities, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and immigrant populations. Your role will involve offering inclusive mental health solutions that respect and acknowledge the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our patients.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology, obtained from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current professional license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Deep knowledge of mental health disorders, proficient in evidence-based treatment methods, and a strong focus on cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy using culturally responsive methodologies.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, able to maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate building trusting relationships with a diverse clientele.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technological tools.
• A commitment to adhering to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining boundaries in therapeutic relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance overall patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, providing therapy to individuals and groups.
• Familiarity with telehealth technology and best practices for delivering remote mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
