Work Environment

This full-time role is remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule, while still promoting collaboration through regular online team meetings and digital communication tools. Our practice leverages advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems ensuring efficient documentation and coordination of care. You will have the autonomy to manage your caseload while being supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, social workers, and wellness coaches.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and evaluations with clients to evaluate their mental health status and needs, utilizing diagnostic criteria to identify issues accurately.
• Design individualized treatment plans grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Engage in regular therapy sessions with clients, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to address challenges such as depression, anxiety, and substance use issues.
• Provide ongoing support and psychoeducation, equipping clients with tools and coping strategies to successfully navigate their mental health journey.
• Coordinate referrals to psychiatrist and other specialists as needed, ensuring comprehensive care for clients requiring medication management or specialty consultation.
• Document all clinical interactions, progress notes, and treatment adjustments in our EHR system to facilitate seamless care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including adolescents and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and eating disorders. Your experience and approach should be culturally competent and responsive to the specific challenges faced by individuals from different backgrounds, ensuring that each person receives the most effective care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential in North Carolina.
• A minimum of four years of experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a proven track record of client management and therapeutic success.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities, crisis intervention techniques, and a strong commitment to ethical practices in mental health care.
• Adeptness in using electronic health records (EHR) and understanding of digital assessment tools is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with both individual and group therapy approaches, specifically using culturally relevant strategies to engage clients effectively.
• Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and the ability to establish rapport with clients in challenging situations.
• Previous experience working in remote settings, utilizing telehealth platforms to provide care.

Compensation and Benefits
