Work Environment

As a fully remote provider, you will engage with patients through our sophisticated telehealth platform. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' unique backgrounds and mental health needs accurately.
• Design and implement customized, evidence-based treatment plans that consider each client’s cultural context and personal experiences.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, adapting your approach to address varying concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring timely referral for medication or additional services as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention and management, offering immediate support to clients facing mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health concepts, therapeutic options, and available community resources that can aid in their recovery.
• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of client interactions in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing training sessions focused on cultural competency and best practices in mental health care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mental health therapy, implementing relevant concepts into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on serving individuals from a wide range of cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This includes but is not limited to ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those from immigrant communities. Your expertise in culturally responsive therapy will be pivotal in helping these patients navigate their mental health challenges effectively, ensuring that their diverse experiences inform the therapeutic process.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in the state of Texas.
• Strong expertise in mental health disorders and effective treatment methodologies, with a focus on cultural competence in therapy.
• Prior experience delivering individual and group therapy, particularly using inclusive practices responsive to diverse client needs.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated history of building rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Proficient in navigating electronic health systems and maintaining accurate client records.
• Commitment to adherence to ethical standards, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.
• Proficient in collaborating as a member of a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in multicultural counseling and fluency in a second language are highly considered assets.
• Previous role in telehealth services, providing virtual mental health support is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
