Position Overview

L&C Health & Rehabilitation Center is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Telehealth Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative healthcare team. This full-time role focuses on providing high-quality mental health care specifically for clients dealing with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. As a vital member of our telehealth practice, you will conduct clinical assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to optimize our clients' mental health journeys.

Work Environment

This is a remote position designed to provide flexibility while ensuring that counselors can deliver timely and effective mental health services. You will engage with clients via our cutting-edge telehealth platform, employing teletherapy tools that facilitate in-depth communication and therapeutic engagement. Your work hours will primarily be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends required on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients during initial consultations.
• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that take into account their unique needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients through therapeutic sessions.
• Provide essential education and emotional support to clients and their families regarding their mood conditions, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Track and monitor client progress over the course of treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies as required.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, to deliver comprehensive and integrated care.
• Stay current with the latest developments in mood disorder research and treatment methodologies to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborative case consultations with peers to promote continuous learning and best practices.
• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and reducing stigma related to mood disorders among the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is to support individuals suffering from mood disorders, which comprise a significant portion of our clientele. You will work with clients of varying ages and backgrounds, tailoring interventions to meet the distinct needs and challenges they face. By leveraging telehealth, you'll help clients receive timely access to therapeutic support, fostering an inclusive environment for mental health treatment.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly specializing in mood disorders, is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methods, specifically CBT and DBT, tailored for mood disorders.
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and effective collaboration with medical professionals involved in client care.
• A proven track record of achieving successful therapeutic outcomes with mood disorder clients is highly valued.
• Exceptional communication abilities and a talent for establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have prior experience working in a telehealth setting, allowing them to adapt seamlessly to our digital framework for client engagement. Familiarity with electronic health records and teletherapy technology systems will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Compensation and Benefits
