Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be tasked with a variety of essential responsibilities aimed at supporting clients in achieving their mental health goals:

• Engage actively in care planning by collaborating with clients and the healthcare team to pinpoint effective interventions tailored to enhance the clients' well-being and satisfy rehabilitation objectives.
• Employ established counseling theories, social work methods, and educational programs to facilitate clients’ understanding of their conditions and enhance their capacity for coping and recovery.
• Monitor and support clients through the adjustment process to significant life changes, such as chronic illness or consideration of treatments like dialysis or transplant.
• Provide empathetic counsel, offering clients the support they need as they navigate their psychological challenges and treatment processes.
• Guide clients seeking educational or vocational opportunities through goal-directed counseling and referrals to community resources that promote optimal outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge regarding local resources and programs that support vocational rehabilitation, ensuring clients can remain engaged in work or education.
• Assist clients in understanding and discussing advance directives, making sure they feel supported in communicating their wishes to loved ones and healthcare providers.
• Evaluate psychosocial factors that may influence treatment outcomes as part of comprehensive assessments alongside interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline is required.
• A valid state Social Work License is mandatory (LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW).

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

Experience in telehealth settings or familiarity with providing remote counseling services is highly desirable. Candidates with a background in clinical social work or counseling for patients dealing with chronic health conditions will find their skills particularly beneficial in this position.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 52,000 – 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
