Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing counselors to connect with clients across Denver, Colorado, and beyond through our telehealth platform. You’ll join a collaborative virtual team, participating in regular meetings and discussions to ensure optimal care for clients. Our business hours are structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM, with occasional flexibility required based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments that employ evidence-based practices to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the clients' unique circumstances and needs.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to effectively address clients' mental health issues.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records that comply with HIPAA regulations and the ethical standards of practice.
• Collaborate with a dedicated treatment team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care.
• Engage in case consultations and peer reviews, contributing to an atmosphere of shared learning and continuous improvement in care quality.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding and engagement in their care.
• Stay current with research and advancements in mental health to integrate new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors work with clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, from managing anxiety and depression to overcoming past trauma. We emphasize a client-centered approach, recognizing the individual circumstances, backgrounds, and experiences each client brings to therapy. This role is vital in helping clients navigate their paths to recovery, enhancing not only their mental health but also their ability to thrive in their daily lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Colorado.
• Knowledge and application of solution-focused psychotherapy methods and techniques that cater to a diverse client population.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients and colleagues alike.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex client situations.
• Ability to thrive within a collaborative team environment, valuing the diverse contributions of team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a telehealth setting is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client information efficiently.
• Experience working with diverse populations, including culturally and linguistically diverse individuals.
