Work Environment

As a remote-based counselor, you will engage with clients through telehealth platforms, allowing flexibility in work hours and enabling you to reach those who may have difficulty accessing traditional in-person services. You will collaborate with a team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, creating a supportive atmosphere that prioritizes quality care and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings for new clients to identify mental health concerns, followed by the formulation of evidence-based, individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, implementing therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in achieving their goals.
• Regularly evaluate the progress of clients, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to discuss treatment strategies and ensure clients receive integrated care.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential clinical records, adhering to ethical guidelines and state regulations.
• Engage and educate clients' families about mental health issues, fostering an environment that encourages active family involvement in recovery efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will cater primarily to a diverse client base facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and mood disorders. We champion inclusivity, serving clients from various backgrounds and varying degrees of severity in their mental health issues. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their unique journeys toward improved mental health.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LICSW within the state of Washington.
• A firm understanding of various mental health theories and practices, with a focus on evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Competency in managing a telehealth platform to conduct sessions effectively.
• Prior experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience, preferably with a specialization in treating mood disorders.
• A proven track record of successful therapy outcomes, particularly with evidence-based interventions.
• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and its application in conjunction with therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from $52,000 to $70,000, dependent on experience and caseload management.
