Trauma-Informed Licensed Mental Health Therapist - Remote Opportunity

In this remote position, you will play a pivotal role in providing specialized mental health care to clients dealing with trauma-related conditions, particularly post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and establish tailored treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience building, using modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through the healing process and equipping them with effective coping strategies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to create an integrated treatment approach that enhances patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely assistance.
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to aid their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records that comply with legal and ethical standards, ensuring clients’ privacy and information security.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions focused on trauma-informed practices and innovations in therapy.
• Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic approaches to trauma care, integrating newfound knowledge into practice for enhanced client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals impacted by various forms of trauma who seek healing and empowerment. We cater to a diverse demographic, including veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals struggling with other forms of trauma. The ability to connect empathetically with the patient population and adapt therapeutic strategies to meet their unique needs is essential.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCMHC, or LMFT in the state of North Carolina.
• Strong fundamental understanding of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, possessing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to efficiently manage client documentation and appointment scheduling.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have at least two years of post-licensure experience, with a demonstrated history of delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Experience working within community health settings is a plus, as is familiarity with continuity of care models.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
