Sunshine Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity, offering a remote work setting. Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while maintaining a clear focus on delivering high-quality care. You'll enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule, typically between 9 AM and 4 PM, with a possibility for some flexibility based on patient demand. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, engaging with clients to understand their unique mental health needs and crafting individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), tailoring approaches to the specific requirements of each individual.
• Record and manage clinical documentation meticulously, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining the confidentiality of all patient interactions.
• Work alongside a committed multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to coordinate patient care and share insights that enhance treatment outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing education initiatives, remain up-to-date with advancements in mental health research, and incorporate new knowledge into practice.
• Educate and empower patients and their families concerning mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to support holistic well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse client base within our community health clinic setting. You will support individuals facing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions, ensuring each client receives compassionate care and individualized attention.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• An active license to practice as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Ability to apply solution-focused interventions that cater to clients' individual needs, offering personalized and impactful treatment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, which are vital for building rapport with clients and working collaboratively with colleagues.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to navigate the complexities of mental health issues effectively.
