Work Environment

As a remote position within an outpatient setting, this role provides the flexibility to work from home while remaining connected with the collaborative team at Harmony Mental Healthcare. Our operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate patients' needs. In this supportive environment, you will engage with your colleagues through regular team meetings, consultations, and professional development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ histories and formulate effective treatment approaches tailored to individual needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for patients to process trauma, develop coping strategies, and promote long-term healing.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive care plans that support comprehensive patient healing.
• Provide essential crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and appropriate responses to patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for additional support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of all patient interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and stay informed about cutting-edge research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced trauma and are seeking recovery and support. By utilizing trauma-informed care principles, you will work with a diverse client base, which includes children, adolescents, adults, and families affected by complex trauma histories. Your role will be vital in shaping their journeys towards resilience and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.
• Strong foundational knowledge in trauma-related disorders, treatments, and resilience-building strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications to manage patient care documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of post-licensure experience working with diverse trauma presentations and therapeutic modalities.
• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a strong emphasis on patient-centered approaches.
• A track record of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, fostering a cohesive and supportive treatment environment.

Compensation and Benefits
