Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique circumstances and develop effective treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, providing individualized care that honors patients’ cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns, promoting resilience and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, discussing treatment progress in regular multidisciplinary meetings.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during mental health emergencies to stabilize patients and connect them with further resources.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in cultural competency training sessions and ongoing education to keep abreast of best practices and developments in mental health.
• Contribute to a positive team culture through active participation in case reviews and ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with a diverse clientele, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and identities. This role involves understanding and addressing the unique challenges faced by ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and immigrants, allowing you to employ a culturally responsive approach that fosters trust and enhances patient engagement.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Colorado.
• Demonstrable knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and cultural competence in providing therapy.
• Previous experience in delivering therapy in both individual and group settings with a focus on culturally responsive techniques.
• Proficient crisis intervention skills, with a calm approach during challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling relationship-building with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems as well as standard computer applications.
• A commitment to ethics, professional boundaries, and the confidentiality of client information.
• The ability to thrive as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to patient care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Background in multicultural counseling and experience working with diverse populations.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care principles and practices.
• Experience with telehealth service delivery and comfortable using virtual communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits
