Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, utilizing telehealth technology to facilitate therapy sessions. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique experiences, background, and needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual patients, while considering their cultural contexts.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to address various mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care for each patient.
• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering a deeper understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings, sharing insights and updates about patient progress and collaborating on treatment strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about current research, advancements in treatment methods, and cultural competency training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse client base ranges from young adults to older individuals, many of whom belong to ethnic and cultural minority groups. Special emphasis is placed on serving LGBTQ+ communities and immigrants, ensuring that every patient receives respectful, personalized care that acknowledges and honors their unique backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• In-depth understanding of various mental health disorders along with evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Demonstrable experience in providing individual and group therapy, utilizing inclusive methods that are culturally responsive.
• Strong crisis intervention capabilities, with the ability to maintain poise in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, establishing rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficient use of technology in providing telehealth services.
• A commitment to upholding professional boundaries and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
• Ability to work cohesively within a multidisciplinary team focused on providing optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of direct experience in a mental health counseling role.
• Experience in a multicultural setting that emphasizes diversity and cultural competence.
• Previous experience utilizing telehealth platforms for patient sessions is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
