Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team at Moore Mental and Emotional Health Recovery. In this full-time position, you will be instrumental in guiding clients through their mental health journeys by providing individualized counseling and support. Your role is crucial in assessing clients’ needs, developing effective treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions that address a broad spectrum of mental health issues.

Work Environment

This position is completely remote, leveraging telehealth technology to connect with clients in a flexible and accessible manner. Our telehealth facility features user-friendly platforms ensuring confidentiality and ease of use. You will work within a supportive virtual team environment, collaborating closely with fellow mental health professionals dedicated to fostering clients’ wellness, regardless of their location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to understand individual client backgrounds, challenges, and specific goals for their therapeutic journey.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that emphasize clients' strengths and resilience, ensuring that they feel seen and understood in their journey towards mental wellness.
• Deliver evidence-based counseling services tailored to the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, drawing on multiple therapeutic modalities as appropriate.
• Create a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic space that encourages clients to openly explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences.
• Collaborate with clients to establish effective coping strategies and skill-building exercises aimed at managing stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with stringent legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a varied clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. This diversity enriches the therapeutic experience and requires an understanding of how cultural context shapes mental health. You will be responsible for providing culturally competent care that recognizes individual client needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a mental health counselor is essential (LPCC, LCSW, LMFT).
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development, including staying current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience providing counseling services in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and relevant technology platforms can enhance client interactions.
• Skills in specific therapeutic modalities or specialties (e.g., trauma-informed care, CBT, DBT) will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, based on experience and credentials.
