Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of remote work, enabling you to conduct sessions via teletherapy for clients who may find in-person visits challenging. Our outpatient office setting is designed to maintain a welcoming and private atmosphere, supporting therapy tailored to individual client needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients’ mental health challenges and inform the development of tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques and approaches that promote healing and personal development.
• Collaboratively establish therapeutic goals with clients and consistently monitor progress to adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
• Participate in regular staff meetings, group supervision sessions, and one-on-one consultations with your clinical supervisor, fostering a collaborative work culture.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions and treatment plans to uphold ethical standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development to enhance clinical skills and remain informed about emerging trends in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with addiction, anxiety, trauma, and depression. Your role will encompass providing therapeutic support to couples, children, teens, and families, with a strong emphasis on cultural competence in addressing the unique needs of clients from various backgrounds, including clients of color and the LGBTQIA community. Your expertise in these areas will be instrumental in establishing trust and rapport with clients.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (or related field) from an accredited institution.
• A current LMFT license issued by the state of California.
• A minimum of 2 years of full-time counseling experience in a relevant setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in counseling couples, children, teens, and families.
• Specialized training or experience in addressing issues related to addiction recovery and trauma-informed care.
• Experience providing teletherapy services.
