Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms among clients.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals and preferences.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address client needs effectively.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, potential treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and evolving needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic strategies and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including mood disorders, anxiety, and trauma. You will engage with individuals and families, helping them to navigate their challenges through supportive and effective therapeutic interventions. Your expertise will contribute significantly to their recovery processes, fostering long-term mental health stability.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Demonstrated ability to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with clients, showcasing excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients' experiences and struggles are essential qualities we seek in our therapists.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience in addiction counseling or specialized training in trauma-informed care will be considered advantageous. Familiarity with utilizing teletherapy platforms and digital therapeutic tools is a plus, given our remote working model.
