Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse backgrounds and mental health status, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorders.
• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based treatment techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing to engage clients effectively.
• Collaborate closely with members of the treatment team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to client care.
• Educate and involve clients' families in the recovery process, providing guidance on how they can support their loved ones and enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate records of client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with substance abuse, encompassing a diverse clientele that spans various age groups and backgrounds. You will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic interventions that promote recovery, resilience, and the development of coping strategies for managing addiction and related mental health challenges.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as either an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD is required to practice in this role.
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory; however, a Master's or doctoral degree is preferred.
• Specialized training or substantial experience in addiction counseling is critical for understanding the complexities of substance use disorders.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based practices for substance use and dual diagnosis treatment is highly desirable.
• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, complemented by a strong ability to motivate and engage clients in their recovery process.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork abilities, facilitating effective collaboration within the treatment team.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience in substance abuse treatment or mental health counseling is preferred to ensure a proficient understanding of client needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and credentials.
