Work Environment

This role is performed in a remote outpatient office setting, providing you the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our collaborative team. The work schedule predominantly spans Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility as needed to ensure the needs of our patients are met effectively. We value work-life balance and understand that certain situations require adjustments to accommodate client scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of patients, utilizing tools and methodologies that recognize their diverse backgrounds.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions customized to each individual, focusing on their unique experiences and cultural context.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a wide range of mental health concerns, enhancing coping strategies and overall well-being.
• Engage in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure each patient receives comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Provide crisis intervention services and effectively support patients during mental health emergencies, leveraging strong communication and calming techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment methods, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain confidential and detailed documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient management.
• Actively participate in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to a culture of learning through engagement in cultural competency training and professional development opportunities.
• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, ensuring the services delivered are informed by the most current evidence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice serves a broad spectrum of patients, focusing particularly on individuals from marginalized communities, including those representing ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ populations, and various immigrant groups. Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington.
• Profound understanding of diverse mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, with a strong emphasis on cultural competency in therapeutic practice.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy within a multicultural framework, employing inclusive techniques.
• Exceptional crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor in high-stress situations.
• Strong interpersonal abilities with excellent communication skills, particularly in establishing rapport with a diverse clientele.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.
• A high level of commitment to upholding professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and respecting client boundaries.
• A collaborative spirit, ready to work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in outpatient settings or community mental health programs.
• Previous exposure to teletherapy and adapting therapy modalities for remote service delivery.
• Familiarity with specific therapeutic methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Engagement in advanced professional training in cultural competency and diversity issues in mental health.

Compensation and Benefits
