Position Overview

Ultimate Support Counseling Center is searching for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient’s background and unique treatment expectations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery, including creating therapeutic milestones for patients.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Facilitate supportive individual and group therapy sessions to empower patients in processing their trauma, developing coping strategies, and promoting healing.
• Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest standard of integrated patient care.
• Deliver crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate and appropriate support.
• Actively educate patients and families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources for continued support.
• Maintain secure and accurate patient documentation in accordance with stringent legal and ethical standards, leveraging electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline processes.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care delivery.
• Stay informed on the latest research, trends, and best practices in trauma therapy to ensure that our approaches remain at the forefront of the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The mental health therapist will primarily serve individuals grappling with trauma and related disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. The clinic serves a diverse clientele, which includes adults, adolescents, and families, each with unique narratives and cultural backgrounds. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a safe and judgment-free environment that empowers clients to share their experiences and embark on their healing journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California.
• A solid understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment strategies, and resilience-building practices.
• Possession of strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Ability to remain composed in high-stress situations, offering stability and assurance to patients in crisis.
• Proficiency in using EHR systems and various computer applications essential for efficient record-keeping and communication.
• A collaborative spirit, able to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience

Two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, specifically within the realm of trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Familiarity with community health resources and prior experience in remote counseling practices will be considered a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
