Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor with us, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth assessments for individuals seeking help, which may involve understanding their strengths, challenges, and personal goals. You will utilize evidence-based methodologies to inform your evaluations and treatment strategies.
• Delivering individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions effectively through our telehealth platform. You will engage clients with empathy to help them explore their thoughts and feelings, while also guiding them toward actionable solutions.
• Creating and implementing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that cater to the diverse needs of your clients. Each plan will be carefully designed to maximize their potential and lead to successful outcomes.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams—including medical professionals and community resources—to ensure holistic care for each client. This teamwork approach will enhance the support network available to your clients.
• Documenting client progress and treatment interventions in a timely and accurate manner, using our designated electronic health record systems. This will not only meet compliance standards but also help you monitor client advancement effectively.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• You must possess a full, unrestricted license to practice without supervision as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Oregon.
• We do not accept applicants with limited or provisional licenses, nor those with any disciplinary actions against their license.
• Exceptional interpersonal, empathy-driven skills will be essential, along with a commitment to making professional evaluations that directly influence treatment plans.
• Proficiency in technology and computer systems is a must, as our services are delivered via telehealth.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following will enhance your candidacy:

• Previous experience in a remote counseling environment, demonstrating your comfort with virtual therapy tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.
• A history of working with diverse populations and knowledge of cultural competency practices.

Compensation and Benefits

At Balanced Life Therapy, we believe in rewarding our team adequately for their hard work. Our compensation structure is competitive, offering a yearly salary between $100,000 and $105,000, reflective of your caseload and experience. We also provide a range of benefits, including:
