Work Environment

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor within our community health clinic, you will work within a supportive remote setting, connecting with clients through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at providing optimal care to our clients:

• Conduct initial assessments to gain insights into clients’ mental health and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, couples, and group therapy sessions.
• Implement various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, adapted to the specific context and needs of each client.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, which may include psychiatrists and social workers, to provide holistic and comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed about current research and trends in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal issues. Your ability to build rapport and establish therapeutic relationships will be essential in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients from all backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Hampshire.
• At least 2 years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical or community health setting.
• A strong understanding of ethical and legal standards related to mental health practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as trauma, substance abuse, or couples therapy is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a remote setting with a focus on telehealth practices.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
