Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate the mental health needs of patients, ensuring the development of tailored treatment plans that reflect individual circumstances.
• Deliver short-term individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services utilizing evidence-based practices to address a wide range of mental health concerns.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops focused on personal development, coping strategies, and wellness techniques aimed at enhancing patient wellbeing.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary hospital teams, which may include medical professionals, patient support services, and community organizations, to provide holistic and integrated patient care.
• Contribute to outreach initiatives and public awareness campaigns that promote mental health education, utilizing your expertise to strengthen community relationships.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records, adhering to ethical and legal standards to ensure compliance and protect patient information.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population that comes from various backgrounds and experiences. Qualifications

• Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; a Master's or doctoral degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the unique mental health challenges faced in hospital settings, particularly among diverse patient populations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective patient engagement and collaboration with medical staff.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapy practices and brief therapeutic models, particularly suited for an outpatient counseling setting.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly valued.
• Experience in running therapy groups or workshops, particularly within an outpatient context.
