Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while serving patients in our community. Our collaborative virtual environment fosters professional growth and engagement with fellow mental health professionals. You will work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring you have evenings and weekends to recharge.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate patient needs and create personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Meet regularly with patients to provide a safe space for sharing their experiences, enabling proactive diagnosis of mental and emotional disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized coping strategies and therapeutic interventions aimed at helping patients manage their conditions effectively.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs and outcomes.
• Educate patients and staff on effective stress and trauma management techniques, promoting resilience and emotional health.
• Collaborate with social and medical agencies, as well as community outreach programs, to ensure patients have access to the necessary resources and support services.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by completing continuing education requirements necessary to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification and stay current with therapeutic practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on trauma injury patients who often face complex mental health challenges due to their experiences. Your approach will require sensitivity and understanding as you help individuals from diverse backgrounds navigate their emotional and psychological hurdles. By recognizing the specific needs of each patient, you will play a crucial role in their healing process.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field, ensuring a robust educational foundation in therapeutic methodologies.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential, confirming your qualifications to practice in New York State.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience providing counseling services to trauma patients, reflecting your expertise in this area.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite to facilitate documentation and communication.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with patients and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Salesforce and EMR systems is highly desirable, enhancing efficiency in managing patient records and care pathways.
• A history of involvement in community outreach initiatives aimed at supporting mental health awareness and trauma recovery is beneficial.
• Skills in developing educational materials or programs for patients to support their ongoing recovery journey.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including:
