Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from your preferred location while engaging in meaningful therapy practices. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate patients' mental and emotional health needs, diagnosing disorders and formulating tailored treatment plans that prioritize individualized care.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions with patients, employing a variety of counseling techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed care approaches, aimed at helping patients navigate and manage their emotional challenges.
• Develop and implement coping strategies and modification plans based on continuous monitoring of patient progress, adjusting methods to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate both clients and staff on effective stress management and trauma recovery techniques, creating a supportive environment that enhances understanding and fosters proactive health management.
• Collaborate with social workers, medical professionals, and community agencies to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and access to community resources critical for their recovery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education courses to maintain your National Counselor certification and stay abreast of the latest mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients affected by trauma, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression stemming from traumatic experiences. You will work closely with individuals who require nuanced understanding and effective strategies to reclaim their mental and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.
• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.
• At least three years of direct experience working with trauma patients, demonstrating a solid understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential for documentation and reporting.
• Strong communication skills are imperative, ensuring effective interactions with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and Salesforce is highly regarded, as familiarity with these tools can enhance patient management and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits
