Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients, identifying their unique mental health needs and creating personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Provide therapy services through secure virtual platforms, utilizing various therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's individual circumstances and treatment goals.
• Collaborate closely with clients to establish realistic therapeutic goals, offering ongoing support and guidance throughout their mental health journey.
• Monitor client progress diligently, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and treatment outcomes, developing a comprehensive understanding of each client's evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Urban Care Counseling Center, our client population is diverse, including individuals either experiencing common mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and stress, or those facing more complex challenges. Counselors will work with clients from various backgrounds, providing culturally competent care to ensure effective support and understanding of each individual’s unique experience.

Qualifications

• A current and valid mental health license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for building rapport and establishing therapeutic connections with clients in a virtual setting.
• Empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by clients in their mental health journeys.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities for effectively managing therapy sessions and documentation remotely.

Preferred Experience

While all licensed professionals are encouraged to apply, experience with telehealth services or conducting remote therapy is strongly preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and virtual therapeutic tools would be beneficial to enhance efficiency in service delivery.
