A Better Way Counseling Service, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments through in-depth interviews to gather client history and understand their mental health needs.
• Collaboratively develop and implement tailored treatment plans in conjunction with clients, ensuring that treatments align with their specific goals and concerns.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing modalities that might include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or other proven methodologies.
• Create and maintain accurate, timely documentation through electronic health records, including intake reports and progress notes that reflect client interactions and treatment outcomes.
• Utilize outcome measures to effectively track and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal mental health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse client base that includes children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. You will engage with clients facing a range of mental health challenges, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and judgment-free environment.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field.
• An active and unrestricted Washington State License as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in the mental health field, demonstrating a strong understanding of therapeutic practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing detailed clinical notes and intake reports, ensuring adherence to best practices in documentation.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple cases effectively and efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Training and experience implementing evidence-based practices with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Residency in Washington State is required to facilitate convenience for both the counselor and clients.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates who exhibit strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability. A wide range of clinical skills and experience working in a progressive group practice setting will also be highly advantageous.
