Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments for clients to identify their stressors and mental health goals, developing tailored mindfulness-based treatment plans.
• Deliver mindfulness-based interventions and therapeutic practices, including guided meditation and breathing exercises, to assist clients in managing stress and achieving emotional balance.
• Facilitate impactful group workshops and training sessions on mindfulness practices, stress management, and resilience-building strategies.
• Incorporate mindfulness techniques into individual therapy sessions, allowing clients to address specific mental health concerns through self-reflection and self-awareness.
• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare personnel to create a unified approach in integrating mindfulness practices into patient care.
• Document client progress meticulously, ensuring that treatment plans and mindfulness interventions are effectively tracked and adjusted as needed.
• Engage in personal mindfulness practice and participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance your expertise in MBSR.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client base, including individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Your focus will be on empowering clients to harness mindfulness techniques to reduce their symptoms and enhance their quality of life. Our clients come from various backgrounds, and you will have the opportunity to tailor your therapeutic approach intricately, meeting their unique needs and facilitating meaningful progress in their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess valid licensure in Illinois as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT.
• Strong understanding of mindfulness-based practices, with a commitment to integrating these methodologies into therapy.
• Proficient communication skills that foster a calming atmosphere conducive to therapy.

Preferred Experience

• Extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is preferred but not a strict requirement.
• Experience working in community health settings or with diverse populations will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate group sessions and workshops effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging between USD 80,000 and 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
