Key Responsibilities

• Implement mindfulness-based interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), to assist clients in managing stress, enhancing relaxation, and improving overall wellbeing.
• Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand clients’ stressors, mental health concerns, and personal goals, customizing mindfulness practices to best support their journey.
• Lead clients through mindfulness exercises, guided meditations, and breathing techniques to promote self-awareness and emotional balance during individual therapy sessions.
• Facilitate engaging group workshops that focus on mindfulness practices, stress management techniques, and resilience-building strategies, fostering a sense of community among clients.
• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to create integrated treatment plans that utilize mindfulness as a core therapeutic strategy.
• Document client progress meticulously, including mindfulness interventions and treatment outcomes, to track improvements and adjust strategies as needed.
• Regularly engage in your personal mindfulness practice and professional development to stay current with MBSR methodologies and approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Holds a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possesses current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Exhibits good understanding and proficiency in integrating mindfulness practices into therapeutic interventions.
• Has strong communication skills, fostering a calming and supportive environment for clients.

Preferred Experience

• Formal training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) methodologies is highly preferred.
• Experience in delivering telehealth or remote counseling services is a plus.
• Proven history of successfully facilitating group therapy sessions focused on mindfulness and wellness.

Compensation and Benefits
