Work Environment

This role offers a fully remote work setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing critical mental health services. You will be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, making it easier to coordinate schedules with clients and team members. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the nature and severity of mood disorder symptoms, using interviews, structured diagnostic tools, and standardized assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, addressing their specific challenges, goals, and personal preferences to enhance engagement in their therapeutic journey.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting interventions to align with clients' progress and feedback.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies, fostering a deeper understanding of mental health issues.
• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment modalities as required, and ensuring that therapeutic objectives are met in a timely manner.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrative care, contributing to a comprehensive approach to each client's treatment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest research in mood disorders to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client information, including session notes and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights, discuss potential treatment adjustments, and enhance collective clinical expertise in mood disorder management.
• Advocate for de-stigmatization of mental health issues in the community, promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders through outreach and educational initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. You will work with diverse clients, from adolescents to adults, providing culturally competent care that addresses the personal and contextual factors influencing their mental health. Your empathetic approach will create a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, fostering trust and open communication.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in Washington State, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of professional practice.
• Proficiency in delivering evidence-based treatment modalities, with a strong focus on CBT and DBT, evidenced by successful clinical outcomes.
• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology, providing the ability to engage effectively with psychiatrists and other medical personnel for coordinated care.
• Exceptional communication skills that enable establishing rapport with clients from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• A history of successfully managing a diverse range of mood disorders in both individual and group therapy settings.
• Experience working in outpatient facilities or community mental health organizations, showcasing versatility and adaptability in therapy practices.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver therapeutic trainings or workshops related to mood disorders and coping strategies.
